Mi Pequeña Honduras Restaurant
About This Spot
Stepping into Mi Pequeña Honduras Restaurant feels like slipping into a cherished corner of home, where the hum of quiet conversation and the soft warmth of familiar hospitality welcome you instantly. This cozy local eatery in Kenner carries the gentle rhythm of an afternoon unhurried by time—an inviting pause from the bustle, where the air is filled with fragrant hints of freshly made tortillas and simmering stews.
Here, dishes arrive not as mere meals but as shared moments—comforting bowls of rich beef soup, the subtle sweetness of horchata, and delicate tortillas folded tenderly around spiced fillings. Each plate carries a taste of Honduran tradition, inviting you to explore the deep layers of flavors that slowly unfold with every bite. The menu’s offerings create an intimate connection to a culture celebrated through fresh ingredients and home-style cooking.
The atmosphere is quietly vibrant and heartening, shaped by a warm, attentive staff whose kindness feels as genuine as the food they prepare. Patrons come not just for nourishment but for a place that encourages gentle exchanges—between friends, family, and neighbors. While the restaurant’s modest size lends a sense of intimacy, its spirit is remarkably expansive, embracing and welcoming visitors even when Spanish is the shared language of the moment.
Mi Pequeña Honduras is more than a restaurant; it’s a small cultural haven where the joy of local tradition lives in every detail. Whether you’re here to satisfy a craving or to discover something new, the experience offers a subtle invitation to slow down, savor, and feel the warmth of a community gathered around the table.

The food tastes excellent, prices are reasonable, but portion sizes could be a bit larger. For the atmosphere, its a cozy little place. Very nice.

Delicious authentic honduran food. My husband is honduran, he said it’s the best food he’s had in awhile. Very clean and nice atmosphere. Waitress was the sweetest. Definitely would recommend and will be visiting again.

Perfect pupusas. I don't speak Spanish, but they were very kind and helped us with the menu. We will definitely visit again!

One of my favorite if not my favorite honduran restaurant in the kenner area, their food is absolutely delicious. I bring my friends and family here all the time.

Food is great, service is amazing! All the waitresses are so sweet. Keep in mind you are going to a small Hispanic business, so they don’t speak a lot of English, which is okay! My fiancé loves it because he gets to practice his Spanish, so don’t be shy!!!
